Thanks to our ongoing sustainability efforts we’ve been shortlisted for the North West Business of the Year Awards and Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards in the sustainability categories.
We understand that as a fuel distributor we have an important role to play in the fight against climate change. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to reach net zero direct emissions (scope 1 & 2) by 2030 or sooner, and we believe these nominations are a recognition of our team’s collective efforts!
The North West Business of the Year Awards celebrate the very best business successes from across our region. The winners of the Sustainability category will be announced at an event on the 18th October 2023 in Manchester, alongside a number of other awards to recognise business excellence from across the north west.
The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards are taking place the following month on 14th November in London and we look forward to celebrating alongside the other finalists. The event was founded in 2021 to “celebrate the resilience, innovation and creativity of the UK’s business community.” It’s the UK’s largest awards programme and we’re extremely proud of our team members that have helped us progress in our sustainability journey.
Members of our team had a great day meeting other applicants at an earlier event back in June and we’re honoured to have been shortlisted for the Sustainability award.
While it is a great achievement to be nominated for these awards, we’ll keep our fingers crossed that the efforts of our team across the Crown Oil Group are recognised further!
